Gallery Boomerang is an international contemporary art gallery that fosters a global dialogue between Australian Aboriginal art and Western contemporary classics. We curate a sophisticated platform where the structural mastery of Indigenous Australian artists meets the conceptual brilliance of international masters, creating a unique cross-continental exchange.

Founded in 1993, Gallery Boomerang was the first public gallery of its kind outside Australia. Our mission was, and remains, to promote Indigenous art away from ethnographic classifications, establishing it as a purely contemporary art form in line with Western practices.

Over the decades, the gallery has evolved to suit changing times. Following an extensive renovation in 2022, we officially reopened our space, featuring an additional salon-style viewing room on the first floor. Our history includes collaborations with museums and institutions such as the Andy Warhol Estate and the Estate of John Lennon, alongside many years of service as an advisor to auction houses and private collectors.
